Comics, Tournament reports, General thoughts, Deck building/analysis, etc. Let us know, that way we can cater to the likes of you, the readers.

what would really be great is updates on the state of the meta, like what decks are doing great. Not necessarily deck lists, but general strong decks that are being seen consistently

I say this because I have no competitive outlet within two hours of me (go to UVA), and so I don't have local events I can attend to determine the state of the meta for myself. Instead, I just have to kinda guesstimate, and make my decks accordingly for Chunins and such.

While we can do that, we can't do it at the start of a new set or before a big event like GenCon obviously. It gives away too much and we lose our advantage...

I'm sure Josh plans to post up results and observations from is local, and we will all be posting up reports for any Chunin+ tournaments we attend.

I don't think there is anything wrong with talking about stuff we are working on, unless we have a big event coming up. It's not like we have to post a final version tech and all. Giving up a skeleton of some of the deck types we would consider for a Chunin seems fine to me.
