Revision of Paths of Pain. HELP NEEDED!
OK! The other day i posted a thread called Paths of Pain. I made it in an attempt to incredibly challenge one player. Me and my friends reviewed this format and decided the Pains are overpowered and the Naruto is underpowered. I would appreciate help in downing the power of the Pains and uping the power of the Naruto to make this format more playable. Any and all help is appreciated. Once ivde decided ive revized enough, i will make a thread called Paths of Pain 2.0. Thanks.

me and 3 of my friends played and we also thought that. so we did this. naruto's turn was after each of the pains turn.
ex. Pain 1 turn 0 naruto turn 0 pain 2 turn 0 naruto turn 0 pain 3 turn 0 naruto turn 0 pain 1 turn 1 naruto turn 1 pain 2 turn 1 naruto turn 1 that way naruto could have the same amount of ninjas as the pains. we also thought that naruto could go sage 4 times instead of 2 and it would take 10 times the number of pains for battle rewards instead of 20. could this help? |

one of my friends is very smart so they did this to me when i was naruto.
the first pain would attack me and then they would switch to the next pain so he could attack me also and they would keep doing that until i died acouple of turns later. maybe naruto could use rasegan shruiken i think i spelled that wrong- he can use this every 3 turns. when he is sent up to battle he can select 1 enemy team and discard it. the pain should only be able to switch if he attacked that turn. |

thanks for the input. me and my friend tried out this format with a total of 6 pains. i ended up running the six decks. the pain won easily by waiting till they all had 3 charge counters, then cycled infinatly, using their abilities infinately. so we came up with a few rules. correct me if you think this is a bad idea.
1. The pains only get charge counters while facing the naruto. 2. A pain not currently fighting the naruto may discard 2 chakras, they then gain 1 charge counter 3. After the pains swap out, the pain currently facing the naruto must wait 2 turns before swapping out again This effectivly ensures no ability cyclying. I agree with sage mode. but the rasen shuroken idea seems overpowered. id revise the ablity a bit before putting it in the format. Maybe do an outstanding battle reward kinda effect. Kill the head and 1 damage to the back. plus i think i might throw one more thing into their tied to sgae mode somehow. Thanks again for your input. I'll have the 2.0 version up soon! |

Ok we played with rules i made up and agreed that it made naruto over powered so we then did this.
Naruto can only use rasen sshuriken 2 times during sage mode. witch can be used 3 times. so he can use rasen shuriken 6 times. when going into sage mode naruto must mill the top 5 cards to the chakra area. and then he moves his turn conter up 5. while in sage mode the pain fighting naruto has to block. that way he can use the shuiken and kill off some of there ninjas. We also got together and played with the rules u just made and it was alot more fun being naruto cause naruto didnt get destroyed to soon. i look forward to seeing what u will do with 2.0 |
