Set 29 Starter Decks

Hi I'm posting this thread to mainly see how people would like the concept I have for the starter decks that should be in Set 29 as well as see if Bandai themselves like the idea. Be as honest as possible and please reply with your ideas on the subject.

I personally think that a really cool concept for the Set 29 Starter Decks would be a Senju versus Uchiha theme.

Everyone loves the idea of Hashirama vesus Madara and I know the idea has probably been in quite a few peoples heads. It would be a great way for bandai to get the fanbase something that they really want as well as give an opportunity for them to release a FIRE element Madara and maybe even re-release the former Uchiha deck which from what I noticed a lot of people want to see back. It also allows maybe even an idea to have a deck centered around Tree Ninjas and not just having Spontaneous Tree Summoning being the only reason Tree Users get any mention in this format. Maybe even release a new 2nd Hokage. Seeing there new jutsu/missions/ninja for both decks all on it's own would be really cool.

In concept of what they could do for artwork. If they could pull it off Bandai could do something similar to what they did with the Set 21 Pain and Itachi starter decks. Where you can put the pictures side by side and get a overall picture of Madara and Hashirama (1st Hokage) about to clash with each other and the pictures continue to show the various ninja who'd be backing up there appropriate side. Like a 2nd Hokage charging forward himself to help his brother or Izuna (Madara's younger brother) doing the same. That would be a great concept all on it's own.

Anyway that's just an idea I had in mind and I hope you guys like the concept, please leave a comment. Thank you for your time.

Hashirama is part water in cardgame.

Madara is partly fire for card game.


Water and fire is next in line. It works.

This would be a great idea!

New Madara and Hashirama ninjas, and to keep the two main ninjas in it, have a Naruto and a Sasuke with similar art and weaker effects that go along with it. Since their rivalry is supposed to be an extension of the original Senju vs Uchiha rivalry.

Uchiha Structure could be set up with updated Police Force ninjas, and have a Genjutsu theme with a reinforcement of Madara Susano'o.

Senju Structure could be set up with updated Leaf Council ninjas, and have a Wood theme with a reinforcement of Hashirama Sage Mode.

Even better, both could have a version of the Nine Tailed Fox. One Fire under control of "Madara", and one Lightning/Earth under control of the 1st.

I really like the like the idea and I loved the extended artwork from the 21 decks. But I'm pretty sure 29 is already made at this point.

I think that set 29 will be based on the storm 3 videogame too. A lot of storm 3 - artwork wasn´t used in set 28, e.g.

1) Deidara - Impure Resurrection
2) Kakuzu - Impure Resurrection
3) Naruto - Bijuu Mode
4) Wood style - Deep Forest Emergence
5) Madara with the Rinnegan and wood style ( in the game there is no special characterart for rinnegan Madara, but his awakened mode has rinnegan and wood style)
6) Madaras "great fire jutsu"
7) Madaras Susanoo ( inclomped form of the storm 3 game- final chapter)
8) Choji - butterfly mode
9) the second Mizukage and his jutsu

and so on...

If set 29 is based on the videogame too, there will be missing a lot of cards of some jutsus and characters. Because these justus and characters are part of the manga/anime, but don´t appear in the storm 3 videogame!
For example: Madaras stabilized susanoo, the wood style jutsu with the great flowers. -->the game is diffrent than the real story of shippuuden in some points.

I didnt know they had a set rotation of elements for decks but if thats true they might use the kabuto itachi/sasuke fight

They don't. Almost all of them have been Fire/Lightning. We have had one water, one wind, one earth, and three Void, though two of them were basically half a structure you were supposed to buy together.

Set 25 did Earth and Wind, Set 27 did Lightning and Void, so Set 29 doing Fire and Water makes sense. I like the idea of Senju vs Uchiha, but I don't see it happening.

In the past, 80% of Starters were based on either Naruto or Sasuke. Gaara has gotten 3 (counting the Kage Summit one) and Kakashi and Pain have each gotten 2. After that, Kisame got one, Ino-Shika-Cho got one and Itachi got one.

Madara and 1st Hokage are both popular characters, but I don't see them as being the type of characters that would get starters. If they print a Fire deck, I could definitely see a starter-exclusive Madara being in the deck, but I don't think the Madara vs Senju thing will happen, at least with those two being the title characters. I would guess the other one would be Water, but I'm not sure on the title character. Ultimately, though, I can't see a Fire starter deck not being made, seeing as how we haven't gotten one in a long time (was the last one Shattered Truth or POP?)

My personal wish is for a Fire starter that gives us a NEW Uchiha theme (seriously, how many times has Fugaku, Mikoto and co. been printed in starters- its time we get some new ones). Madara could be the title character, but it'll probably be Sasuke.

On a related note, does anybody else absolutely love how they've been doing the starters? Actually putting a lot of decent/good cards in the decks and they're far better at helping new players get into the game than the early starters or the later ones that came with 2 boosters.

Actually they recently have been following a schedule. Earth, Wind, Lightning, and Void have all gotten a deck, so OP is correct in his assumptions.
