Gaara 09k Final Build (Poll added)

So this is my final build for my unlimted Gaara 09k deck and i believe that this is the best build this forum has for a traditional non Kazekage build, and the best in general so i will post a poll where you can vote yes or no. Without further ado here is my build and an explanation on every card used in the deck.

So I guess to start this explanation off I should say that I learned how to play Gaara 09k from the Florida Kage from 2008 or 2007 Dustin, who went to my locals, who ran Gaara 09k to win the event. Learning from Dustin, I was tought two things in particular, draw power is the most important thing, and having a lot of 0-1 drops is key. On another note for the time, Naruto decks comprised of 40 cards which made draw power all the more important. The other things I learned from Dustin was that the decks focus needed more than just Gaara, key cards that he used to win the kage was in fact Shikamru and Temari platoon, for the mental power battle, which is still an aspect today, and he ran a Tsunade that I can not remember at the time. What you should take away from this small summary is that Drawing gaara’s Justus and the other key ninjas are key. Now on to my card choice explanations

Ink Leech
Leech is actually a key part to the deck because it builds chakra early game that you will be able to use late game.

Konahamaru “Outcome of Training”
This card choice is simple… Draw power and hand control

Hotaru (flashpoint)
Simple again… Draw power, although flashpoint is nice, on element, 2 mental power, and is a target for sakura’s decision

Temari "Wind scythe"
Allows for shikamaru and temari platoon, and allows you to look at your opponents hand and take out any pesky jutsu… plus mental power 1 isnt too bad but isn’t too good, temari is just a staple

Shikamaru “formation”
Simple, best shikamru in my opinion because he negates head ninja effects and has mental power of 4, also allows for Shikamaru and Temari platoon

Ink Fish
Simple… Draw power

Naruto (clone) (target promo)
Searchs for naruto alliance and is on element

Sakura “Book smarts”
One of the most key draw cards in the deck because for every ninja with mental power you put in play you get to draw a card!

Tobi MoM
Simple… Staple in all unlimited decks and DRAW POWER

Naruto “Reliance”
Another staple for wind decks, searches for draw power, and adds support for all of my leaf ninja

Shikamaru and Temari
Perfect card in all ways, 5 mental power!!! Can perform and metal power battle or can negate a mental power batlle, amazing support, and can be good on its own when facing non mental power decks

Gaara of the Desert “Immense Power”
Do I even need to explain

Tsunade “Unmatched Strength” (Set 24)
This is a simple decision, by herself she is perfect, but with shikamaru formation behind her, she is perfect, she makes herself an 11/0 and can not be affected by missions or jutsus, does it get any better

Gigantic Fan
In my opinion, best wind jutsu negation in the game, plus it was one of Dustins favorites when he won the Kage

Sand Tomb and Double Sand Blade
The ultimate staple jutsus for Gaara 09k, if your not running both of these you’re an idiot plan and simple, no explanation needed

3 Sakura’s Decision
Another Dustin favorite at the time, Decision is perfect for draw power, and is amazing mid game when I have a book smarts or hotaru that I no longer need, but usually a hotaru

3 Loss
Staple in all wind decks! Has to be run as a 3 of in all wind decks! Plus DRAW POWER!

3 Ino’s Tears
Best wind search card in unlimted, allows me to search for literally EVERY key card in the deck I need! No need to explain just a great over all card!

it looks good, personally i prefer flexibilty over any other shikamaru

Flexibility is the Best shika... I think you can change and put 2 shika 2 temari and 2 Karin absortion

karin absorbtion just has no room in this deck though, plus her healing effect does nothing to support the main point of the deck, but i think i am going to add in shikamaru flexibility just to add some more mental power battles to take of the pressure of just trying to get out gaara, on that note though i was wondering what everyones thoughts were if i were to take out sakura's decision for sand councils?

you can heal shika and temari when use sakura decision

in lower turn i stall with kisuke and in mid game control with shimon and the mission idle commands and in the late game gaaara with him jutsus and the mission fellow and loneliness they are the key cards of my deck
