I agree with matt, cutting the amount of events is good if you want to save money but I enjoy the experiance of the whole trip(Traveling with friends, shady parking lot activitys, seeing alot of cool people). If they do "double" prizing that makes topping now much more important then before but I think there will be a decline in player activity for the sheer fact that 1 large event every 3 months, and there spread around the country. Last year me and Saul attended 6 SJC's(counting unlimited and block Gencon) being able to attend events every month or so from March till Gencon fueled me to "care" about the game and put forth an effort, now with 1 event since Gencon ive grown bored of the game not wanting to play. The addition of jonins is nice but there not really worth traveling more then 4-5 hours for them as where SJCs we've gone 15+ hours.
