See how dis works? If you are opposed, one team is battling another. If the effect was meant to target things outside of the team to the front of your own, it would say one of these:

[Valid | EOJ] Give your opponent 2 Battle Rewards: Give 2 damage target opposed Ninja.

Or

[Valid | EOJ] Give your opponent 2 Battle Rewards: Give 2 damage to one of your opponents Ninja's on the Battlefield.

BUT HERE IS THE TEXT:

[Valid | EOJ] Give your opponent 2 Battle Rewards: Give 2 damage to target opposing Ninja.

Just so there is no confusion, he CANNOT target ANYTHING outside of the dudes in front of him.
