Basically what your saying is that I should report about How I can go 7-1-2 in my Pokemon League when only 3 people there take the game seriously enough to play something competitive at league and not about how I got Second at My Battle Roads, the Place that shapes up how the format is going to happen and what to expect in the metagame.
I fail to understand the logic that you're trying to put behind this.

the problem here is that not everyone experienced higher level tournaments, have friends who have won SJC/Gencon events and have the opportunity to learn from them and have their decks analyzed by the type of caliber players. these locals are there to help the naruto player base stay alive and attempt to garner more players. to say that the only important events are Chunin's/Jonin's, you really don't see the value of enjoying the game with random people. not everyone thinks that locals are useless, and we can't ignore that. if we want more people to play, we have to help the community any way we can. its not so much the record that matters, its the experience and what people get out of it. sure its not much, but the reason why people play at locals is because they enjoy the company, the game and that's the truest form of how a good card game should be.
im attacking those who are attacking the players who want to report what they want. what's wrong about writing an article about your local? or getting coverage of your local? or play testing, or enjoying the game once a week? i've topped a few chunin's and an SJC but im not going to be an a-hole and diss others who just want to report what they want. and not to say that you do this kuno, but for others who are like that -- that's not healthy for the game.
