Write on something worth reading. The only thing I see here is a sloppier version of a deck I faced at the last SJC (and topped? idk, been a few months after all) won a local despite rulings that were already known. borrrrrriinnnnnng

hm, i usually agree with you majority of the time..but this is the wrong player mentality for the game..this is the kind of thinking that players get discouraged about playing because people who think that locals don't matter or that if you haven't topped a Chunin or SJC, you shouldn't be playing..part of the reason why people don't play the game competitively is because some players are a-holes who only think that its worth talking, associating or worth taking advice from someone whose topped..granted that yes, those who had the experience of winning tournaments or understand the rules are worth going to, but you can't go and diss the players who are trying to get to the same position you are. we were all beginner players or had to learn from a judge, or friend or whomever at one time..as soon as we start to marginalize others is when people will label you guys, and they really don't feel comfortable attending these tournaments. its in every card game yes, but with a small enough community as it is -- its only going to hurt it. if you want to help this community grow, support all players. don't put down others and acknowledge specific people.
(sorry allanime, not a call out to you but i actually wanted to address this for awhile..speaking from experience, i hate when players pick on certain people because they haven't topped events, or don't know the game enough or blah blah..so this just goes for everyone, can't have that way of thinking).
