Welcome to our first preview from the upcoming Series 25 “Kage Summit”.
Today’s first preview is the muscle in Team Ino-Shika-Cho, the one and only Choji Akimichi! He provides Earth Decks with a solid Turn 0 Ninja boosting the standard 3 Combat while he’s in Healthy Status.
Choji isn’t all brawn, this “Chunin” Rank Ninja also helps the Earth “Permanent” Mission Deck being pushed in Series 25. This Ninja card is a Starter exclusive card found in the Series 25 “Ino-Shika-Cho” Theme Deck appropriately called “PERMAPOWER”.
Choji can quickly become a powerhouse when played alongside Missions like Set 23′s “Decoding the Message (M-821)” or “BBQ (M-397)” and “Lunchbox (M-466)” which have both been reprinted in this Starter. Choji first effect is quite helpful in a mirror match or if your opponent likes to play a bunch of Permanent Missions as well.
New players not familiar with “BBQ (M-397)” may note that its quite good in that it allows you to draw two cards as early as Turn 2, but this Mission effect does have an unpleasant aftereffect. However, with Choji you can avoid that altogether by moving ”BBQ (M-397)” to the bottom of your Deck, and giving Choji a nifty +2/+0 for that turn instead.
So pick up the Series 25 “Ino-Shika-Cho” Theme Deck and Choji’s gastronomic powers can be yours as well!
