Suguro N-1567 Effect Specification

Do you get Suguro n-1567 effect when you discard that ninja card from your hand?
Example: I discard Suguro n-1567 for the effect of clash, then draw a card for Suguro n-1567 effect.

No. You only draw for when he is discarded from an in play area.
