If a card states, "When this ninja is opposed" or "1 ninja opposing the user," is the "opposing" team the team that is blocking? or can you be opposed as an attacker and blocker?

"Opposed" just means the Ninja/Team is battling against another Ninja/Team. You can be opposed as an attacker or as a blocker.
