So I hadn't gone to a local for awhile now for various reasons. Been dying to play and I finally convinced my girlfriend to go. So we get up and go and when we get there the parking lot is packed with people in sci-fi cosplay. It's always fun to watch the creeps go around asking all the barely clad ladies if he can take their picture since it's socially acceptable this time. Anyways we go inside and apparently there is a chunin today, I proceed to fret at the lack of preparedness of this event. I had planned on running my earth/fire deck like I have been just cause it trolls people really bad, wont win every game but will make my opponent have to play much differently than their deck should run. I tell my girlfriend shes gonna have to play my deck that she doesnt know how so I can play the lightning/fire deck I made her, since thats where the actions at. (I'm a gentleman like that). I still fret at the lack of unpreparedness thats occuring here.

I immediately wish I had one jutsu deidara in my side board
not much to say about a match against revitalize... he mills himselfs and spams tree jutsu...
pro move on his part, he didnt run tp4 naruto so he swings ino alone which can only mean one thing, no responses in hand so o well lets see the mind transfer... takes my tp4 naruto and proceeds to mill 9 setting himself up for tree spam. very nice. i lost.

against water/wind
super nice dude. im sure he'll be glad to get back to a void deck soon. Im super excited cause he plays water and 3 out of the 4 cards in my sideboard are applications of the first stage. one of our games takes forever cause he has mizukage out and keeps negating the team i need effects with. he gets down to 4 cards in deck and ive had him at 9brs for like 20 mins. i finally get to mill 9 with tp4 naruto just to have one of the last cards be an immortal soul hidan. he scoops upon the sight.

against fire/water (o lord i love application of the 1st stage)
he was a new player and a nice dude, hope he continues to play.
not sure what to say about this match... new player... keep playing dude

round 5
against my friendly nemesis with tailed beasts
aahhhh the tension, i was super stoked to play this dude in the finals. him and i have met in the finals many many times. always epic matches. i beat him our first chunin which i went on to win. he beat me our second chunin which he went on to win. i beat him at last cali sjc which i got 6th at. and our genin and local wins against each other are probably 55/45 my favor :)
so game one he just couldnt handle the tempo. set22 suigetsu is always nice against a tailed beast deck
game 2 i simply refuse to scoop despite the obvious loss im about get. he eventually cracks my stubborness for the win.
epic game 3 he had the advantage early game dropping 5/0 sasuke then tsukado with a standard nice guy pose to seal the deal early. he ends up going sasuke/kakashi and getting about 7 coins on tsukado. not sure how i made it passed all that heat but it turns my favor when i drop raikage then next turn 3rd hokage and warhawk into 3 killer jutsus plus the one in my hand. gg friend

Did you really only have 4 cards in your sideboard the entire event?

I'll refer you to the note right under the cons saying the deck was put together the night before for my girlfriend to use. I did not know there was going to be a chunin. My sideboard would have been much different had I known.

think the point is u need 10, u cannot have less lol

In other words whoever was running the event either didn't know much, or was just being incredibly lenient. Grats on your win regardless, but as a Meijin, it's just disappointing that others aren't at least trying to keep up a standard for the game (I'm talking about whoever ran the event, not you.)

It's awesome how your last chunin report said you had no sideboard and not one person says a word. But since I didn't place 6 pointless commons laying on the ground in my sideboard, well we must have a terrible meijen.

It's either 0 or 10. You play with one or you don't.
