Couldn't have said it better myself, awesome effect....and maybe when its face down if u can injure it u can stop it from flipping up......like the third vs orochimaru.....unless u have kabuto sage on field lol

Wouldn't Inherit cancel out the reanimation effect, since inherit would remove itachi from from play when discarded?

Face down cards cannot battle, be injured, or take damage.

According to Shino'sDad, since both Inherit and Reanimation are mandatory replacement effects, you choose which one you wish to utilize.

When there are clashing replacement effects, you choose which one to apply as the player who controls the two effects.

So you would just face down him instead of Inherit him until he was ready to release the Edo Tensei and pass his will onto Sasuke (flavor wise)
