Are Non-Removal/Negation Jutsu Good?
Okay, I'd like to get some feedback on a semi-noobish question. In my mind, the best Jutsus in Naruto CCG (with a few exceptions for things like Five Prong Seal or Backstab) are ones that can "compete" in the EOJ (as in, can counter a jutsu your opponent is playing), which is either removal jutsu, negation jutsu, or things like Fear By Genjutsu, which makes the team a standby and so can cancel out an opposing Jutsu.
In virtually every deck I build (again, with the exception being things like 5-Pronged Seal abuse or certain rush decks), virtually all of my jutsu space goes to jutsus that can "compete" in the EOJ. So, my question is (I gear my question towards block and unlimited, btw), am I right that these are the kinds of Jutsus that majority of my jutsu line-up should be comprised of? Any thoughts on this you guys can give me would be much appreciated. |

so yes, you're on the right track. |
Yes of course there is also protection jutsus like 8 Trigams Palms Rotation this being the best example of this type of jutsu. Its best to have a good mix of combat aka Damage/removal, Negate, and Protection in your deck. Even more so in unlimited because of all the ninjas and jutsu that cant be dealt with by normal means.
A few examples of this is with this card can be very hard to deal with because of the fact removal and negate does not work but. Damage and Protection jutsus do work just fine on him. Also even though pump Jutsus are not very effective in unlimited there are a few gems in the format that can be worth playing. Like & these type of jutsus can be very helpful against ninjas like . This card is very hard to kill without good pump in your deck somewhere. |
