Today we take a look at the two Starter Super Rares that can be found in ”Ino-Shika-Cho” Theme Deck and “Sand Sibling” Theme Deck. First up is ”Kankuro, Temari, & Gaara of the Desert (N-1487)”! This particular “Squad” Ninja card marks the return of Tri-Squad Ninja cards which haven’t been seen since Series 14 “Emerging Alliance”.

Tri-Squad Ninjas work the same as normal “Squad” Ninjas, to play them you must select Ninja(s) that include those listed in its name from your Village and remove them from the game. At the cost of these staple Wind Ninjas you gain a Turn 4 Squad Ninja with unrivaled power and ability.

First off this Tri-Squad has all the Combat Attributes of the Ninjas that form it, as well as the Characteristics of the “Genin” Ninjas depicted on it. This Ninja has a rare Combat value of 7 which makes it an ideal Head Ninja in a Symbol renown for their Support Ninjas (Tsunade being a prominent exception).

Series 25 “Sand Sibling” Theme Deck List

Series 25 Sage’s Legacy contains two awesome Starter Decks that are ready to play right out of the box. Today we look at the “Sand Sibling” Theme Deck aptly named “SIBLING’S FURY”. This Wind Deck focuses on the Sand Village and uses its arsenal of Puppets to overwhelm its foes.

This Deck contains staple Wind Ninjas like “Kankuro (N-1092)” and “Matsuri (N-602)” which boasters your forces by adding key “Puppet” Ninja cards into you hand and powering each of them up. Cards like “Mizuki (Childhood) (N-847)” will disrupting your opponent’s plans and buys you time to play your powerful “Puppet” Ninjas.

“Puppet” Ninjas are some of the strongest cards around, but without a “Manipulation” Ninja they are just giant wooden dolls. Then it’s a good thing that this Starter contains all of the best “Manipulation” Ninjas like “Chiyo (N-1418)”, “Ebizo (N-663)”, and “Sasori (N-1420)”.

Are your looking for even more artillery? Then game finishers like “Gaara of the Desert (N-483)” and “Baki (N-130)” will have no problem avoiding your opponent’s weaker Ninjas while discarding a Ninja with every attack. Now that’s efficient.

One of the strongest Wind Jutsus can be found in the “Sand Sibling” Theme Deck, “Secret White Move: Chikamatsu’s Ten Puppets (J-504)”, can demolish an entire opposing Team for as cheap as 3 Chakra, and any of your “Manipulation” Ninjas with an Entrance Cost of 4 or more can use this legendary Jutsu!

One of the best and easiest combos to pull off with this Deck is by playing “Puppet Show (M-424)” to move 1 copy of “Crow”, “Black Ant”, and “Salamander” from your Deck to your Chakra Area. If you have the brand-new Set 25 “Sand Anbu (N-1479)” in your Village you’ll be able to deploy “Puppet” Ninjas from your Chakra Area like a normal deployment from your hand!

“Puppet” Ninjas can be difficult to battle against, their abilities can injure, damage, and trap (i.e. stand-by) other Ninjas. However, “Puppet” Ninjas can be defensive and “Salamander (N-1325)” is just one example. The Ninja’s effect can negate any Damage to a Ninja for 2 Chakra, combo this Ninja with “Chiyo (N-1418)” whom can net you 2 Chakra each turn and you have a nearly unbreakable stall engine.

So checkout the the “Sand Sibling” Theme Deck List and come back on Friday to see its fantastic Starter Super Rare. Read the rest of this entry »

Series 25 Preview “Temari (N-1484)”

Welcome to another preview from the upcoming Series 25 “Kage Summit”.

Set 25 bumps “Temari (N-1484)” up to Turn 5, and gives her superb Support values of 4 (healthy) and 3 (injured). Just like her brother it’s her 2 effects that make her an ideal candidate for a multi-symbol Decks.

Temari’s first ability triggers at the start of your turn, and nets you one additional Chakra from the top of your Deck if you control another Lightning Ninja.

Her second ability allows you to draw 1 card if you control another wind Ninja each and every time you play a Mission while she is in-play.

Kankuro and Temari both posses an additional symbol to their main Wind symbol, Lightning for Temari, and Earth for Kankuro, having multiple symbols is another key requirement for this up and coming Deck. However, their effect requirements are broad enough that they fit in a myriad of Deck types.

This fantastic new Ninja is a Starter Exclusive card that can only be found in the Set 25 “Sand Sibling” Theme Deck, so make sure to check it out! Read the rest of this entry »
