Series 25 Preview “Ao (N-1470)”

Welcome to another preview from the upcoming Series 25 “Kage Summit”.

Our next Ninja is a battle hardened veteran from the Mist Village and bodyguard to the Mizukage it’s…Ao! This Turn 5 “Jonin” Ninja is a 6/3 (healthy) and 3/2 (injured) powerhouse with Mental Power: 2 and even comes with the Hyuga clan’s Byakugan!

Knowledge is power and Ao’s first effect allows you to peak at 1 random card in your opponent’s hand each turn.

While Ao’s first effect is nifty it’s his second effect that brings home the bacon. At the start of your turn, if you have another Water Ninja in your Village, you can peak at the top of your Deck, and if it’s a Mission you get to add it to your hand!

Series 25 Preview “Chojuro (N-1469)”

Welcome to another preview from the upcoming Series 25 “Kage Summit”.

We dive into our first preview for April with Mizukage’s two bodyguards. First up is the Turn 4 Seven Swordsmen “Chojuro (N-1469)”, he has two put in play effects dependent on the symbols of the Ninjas in your Village.

If you have another Earth Ninja in play you get a free filter effect by drawing 1 card and then moving 1 card to the bottom of your Deck.

His second effect triggers if you have a Fire Ninja in play, if so your opponent must mill the top 3 cards of their Deck unless they give you 1 Battle Reward.

Alone each of his effects are so-so but since you can trigger both if you meet both conditions when he is put in play this Ninja is that much closer to owning his title as a member of the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist (and a Turn 4 Kakashi stated Ninja is never a bad thing).

Series 25 Preview “Particle Style: Atomic Dismantling Jutsu (J-926)”

Welcome to another preview from the upcoming Series 25 “Kage Summit”.

A special thanks to all those that got us to 600+ likes on the Naruto CCG Facebook page. As a special treat we posted an early preview of today’s Super Rare Kage “The 3rd Tsuchikage (N-1435)”. Not only does this Ninja have the Earth, Fire, and Wind Symbols but he has an outstanding 5 Support while healthy and 4 Support while injured.

This is one Ninja that you want to keep healthy since his effect grants all your Ninjas (battling and non-battling) protection from a Jutsu that targets them. By paying 1 Chakra Onoki negates the Jutsu and places it back on top of their Deck. Then he makes the user Stand-by; hopefully weakening the team enough for your team to smash through.

But if you really want to make that Jutsu of theirs a Battle Reward, then you’re going to have to make Onoki’s team unopposed during the showdown. The best way to do this is with his signature “Particle Style: Atomic Dismantling Jutsu (J-926). This Jutsu requires a “Satoosa” Ninja to use it and it cost 2 Earth Chakra, 1 Fire Chakra, and 1 Wind Chakra, a hefty price to pay for a normal Deck; but if you’re playing a multi-Symbol Deck with Ninjas like “Utakata (N-1353)” and “Kidomaru (N-1465)” it is so much easier.

What does this expensive Jutsu do? First it targets any Ninja (snipe Jutsu) and removes it from the game. The Ninjas in its Team are made Stand-by, and you draw 2 cards. But that’s not all! If a Ninja with “Gravity”, like Onoki, uses it then the Jutsu smacks the Ninjas made –Stand-by with J-926 for 2 Damage; a devastating technique suitable only for the strongest of Ninjas.

Series 25 Preview “Orochimaru (N-1472)”

Welcome to another preview from the upcoming Series 25 “Kage Summit”.

Finally we arrive to one of the late game finishers for the “Giver” Deck. “Orochimaru (N-1472)” is a Turn 6 powerhouse with impeccable Combat (6 healthy) and Support (4 healthy) values. To go along with his brilliance (Mental Power: 4) is an effect similar to “Kakashi Hatake (PR-086)” without the nasty side effect of discarding himself.

However, to gain the ability to play Water Jutsus from your Discard Pile as though they were in your hand your opponent needs to have 10 or more Chakra, a whopping 20% of their Deck! This may be a feat but it is doable with the numerous cards in Set 25 that supports this theme.

With the number of times you can pull off “Distal Phalanx Shrapnel (J-788)”or “Snake Sword (J-858)” limited only by the amount of Chakra you have, this buildup is definitely work it!

Series 25 Preview “Arrogance (M-906)”

Welcome to another preview from the upcoming Series 25 “Kage Summit”.

A little “Arrogance (M-906)” isn’t always a bad thing, this holds true especially for our next preview. This Turn 4 Water Mission in many ways is better than “The End of the Demon (M-052)” or “Rite of Succession (M-809)”. First, this Mission discards the in-play Ninja with the highest Combat, and since you’ve playing this Mission you’ll most like take out your opponent’s strongest Ninja at the time.

However, if Ninjas are tied for the highest Combat then this Mission deals all those Ninjas 1 Damage like a mini-“Disaster of the Nine-Tailed Fox Spirit (M-005)”. As long as you play this Mission correctly your “Arrogance (M-906)” will definitely pay off in your favor!
