Series 25 Preview “A Plea (M-901)”

Welcome to another preview from the upcoming Series 25 “Kage Summit”.

Happy Friday! We start today off with some Lightning Missions and end with the strongest Lightning Ninja in the Naruto CCG yet! Having seen that effects like “Pressing (M-614)” were hardly played if one of the effects was slightly better we revisit this effect style with “A Plea (M-901)”.

This Turn 5 Mission gives the choice to your opponent, but each choice is a substantial benefit to you. You opponent must either give all your Ninjas a Growth coin (Growth coins give +1/+1) or allow you to search your Deck for any Jutsu card and add it to your hand.

Regardless of the turnout you will always come out on top, and it will be your opponent pleading that he doesn’t want to make the decision.

Series 25 Preview “Grossed Out (M-908)”

Welcome to another preview from the upcoming Series 25 “Kage Summit”.

Insect Ninjas are swarming up in the ranks with new Ninjas like “Torune (N-1417)”, old favorites like “Shino Aburame (N-1323)”, and powerful new Missions like Series 25’s “Grossed Out (M-908)”. Insect cards are renowned for their ability to spawn out other Insect Ninjas, and that is certainly the case for M-908!

When played it created two “Non-Unique” “Insect” Ninjas in your Village, but that’s not all! While M-908 is in your Chakra area all your “Insect” Ninjas get a +1/+1 boost. Tip: Use “Shino Aburame (N-1476)” to search out all 3 copies of M-908 from your Deck to your Chakra area for a field of super powered Insect Ninjas!

Series 25 Preview “Shino Aburame (N-1476)”

Welcome to another preview from the upcoming Series 25 “Kage Summit”.

Today’s second preview today is the stoic “Shino Aburame (N-1476)”. He is a Turn 1 Support Ninja but what will make you go buggy for him is his ability to fix your Chakra area.

By paying a Wind, Earth, or Lightning Chakra your can search your Deck for a non-AMBUSH card of one of the listed Symbols and move it to the Chakra area. This helps in two ways, first it allows you to pay for Jutsu or effects with mixed Chakra cost. Second, it thins your Deck of unwanted cards.

This trashing ability has been seen on cards like “Utakata (N-1353)” and “Kidomaru (N-1465)”, and while it places you at risk to Mill Decks it does improve your chances of not missing drops or drawing crucial Missions or Jutsus later in the game when you may no longer want to draw early game Ninjas. This crucial strategy is employed in Deck Building Games and works equally well in the Naruto CCG.

If Shino isn’t the droid you’re looking for then fret not since Set 25 contains a cycle of this type of Ninja effect for all five of the main Symbols.

Series 25 Preview “Zhandou (N-1473)”

Welcome to another preview from the upcoming Series 25 “Kage Summit”.

“Zhandou (N-1473)” is a another Medical Ninja like Series 25’s “Epidemic Prevention Officer (N-1474)”, and just like that Ninja he works best while he remains in your hand; because, while there you can remove his card from the game to gain a stunning effect.

On your opponent’s turn you prevent one of their Ninjas from being organized into Teams as well as preventing them from being sent out to Attack. Such as effect can put a sudden halt to your opponent’s tempo as well as shift the tempo to your favor as you swing with bigger Teams on your turn.

Series 25 Preview “Zetsu (N-1430)”

Welcome to another preview from the upcoming Series 25 “Kage Summit”.

Our final preview today is my second favorite from Series 25 and that is the mysterious “Zetsu (N-1430)”. This Ninja’s past and nature many remain a mystery but his home is in Earth’s new Permanent Mission Deck!

His base stats (1/1) many not be worth writing home about his effect places 2 +1/+1 coins on him when he comes in-play, and raises him a respectable 3/3 Ninja on Turn 3.

However, what we’re all going to be talking about today is his second amazing effect which allows you the versatility of removing +1/+1 coins on him to extend the life of one of your Permanent Missions with a coin or to remove a coin from a Permanent Mission you want to expire (ex: “BBQ (M-397)”) and make Zetsu stronger by giving him a +1/+1 coin. Combo Zetsu with Set 25’s “Kurotsuchi (N-1434)” and you have a Ninja that can grow stronger exponentially!

One of the best combos with Zetsu is along with our first card today, Nick the Meijin wrote it best:

“So, with this card, followed by Deidara, you can remove a coin off of a mission and put a coin onto the same mission, making a Bomb coin. And then on the same turn, since both Zetsu and Deidara can activate on either player’s turn, you can pay 2 chakra to give a damage to that Ninja. Every turn, your’s and your opponent’s. Cool.”

Be it plant or man you’ll definitely want to add Zetsu’s skills to your arsenal!
