Series 25 Preview “The 5th Mizukage (N-1471)”

Welcome to another preview from the upcoming Series 25 “Kage Summit”.

It brings me joy to present the sultry maiden herself – “The 5th Mizukage (N-1471)”. As the “Satoosa” from the Village Hidden in the Mist her looks hide great power, and we start to uncover her assets starting at the top with her symbols – Water, Earth, and Fire allows her access to her distinctive Lava style Jutsu which leaves her enemies weak in the knees (or without them).

As a Ninja she has solid Combat (6) and Support (4) while healthy and keeps decent Support while inured (3). Mei is one Ninja you do want in healthy status and ready to go. Her effect cost 2 Chakra of any symbol to activate during both player’s Mission Phase, and its mind blowing ability is capable of negating the effect text of not one but two Ninjas for the turn. With the Mission Phase timing, negating Ninja effects prevents game changing abilities from being activated, triggered (i.e. put in play effects), or allowed to continue.

But the fun doesn’t stop there, her sly smile plants those Ninjas with a condition that discards them when they receive any damage that turn as well as milling four cards from the top of your opponent’s Deck when any of them leave play for a max of 8! Brilliant…sheer brilliance!

Series 25 Preview “Vapor Style: Solid Fog Jutsu (J-940)”

Welcome to another preview from the upcoming Series 25 “Kage Summit”.

Our next Jutsu courtesy of Mei Terumi is her breathtaking “Vapor Style: Solid Fog Jutsu (J-940)”. This Jutsu has been shown to corrode even the bones of Susano’o meaning it probably a pH even lower than Fluoroantimonic acid’s pH of -25. But I digress, let’s take a look if this Jutsu likes up to its Super Rare rarity.

First things first, this Jutsu cost a solid Water and Fire Chakra as well as requiring the user to have a Fire and Water symbol. Both of these aren’t hard to fulfill, and in return you get an effect that can potentially injure every Ninja opposing the user as long as the user has an Entrance cost greater or equal to the target.

Things really get heated up if the user is Mei Terumi, in that case she discards all injured Ninjas opposing her, talk about looks that could kill.

Series 25 Preview “Lava Style: Lava Monster (J-923)”

Welcome to another preview from the upcoming Series 25 “Kage Summit”.

It’s finally Friday and we come ever closer to the final week of previews on the main site; but worry not for some of the best previews from Series 25 are yet to come…which brings us to today’s previews related to the elegant 5th Mizukage of the Mist Village, and we begin with her “Lava Style: Lava Monster (J-923)”.

This Jutsu cost 1 Earth Chakra, 1 Fire Chakra, and 1 Chakra of any symbol as well as requiring that the user to have both the Earth and Fire symbols. However, if you meet these restrictions you get a blazingly powerful effect!

“Lava Style: Lava Monster (J-923)” makes every Back Ninja opposing the user a Stand-by Ninja as well as injuring them all. If the user of this Jutsu is Mei Terumi then those Ninjas will be reduced to ashes as they receive 1 damage on top of it all. Yeah, it will hurt, but I kinda like it. Reminds me of when I’d scrape up my knee as a kid and my mom patching me up afterwards.

Series 25 Preview “Kiba Inuzuka (N-1440)”

Welcome to another preview from the upcoming Series 25 “Kage Summit”.

Finally we come down to our last preview for today the top dog himself – “Kiba Inuzuka (N-1440)”. This Turn 2 “Chunin” Ninja has the Fire and Lightning symbols as well as consistent Combat (3) and decent Support (2).

Kiba is also rearing to charge into battle with two effects both of which are anti-Permanent Mission as well as pro negative coin deck. By paying 1 Chakra of any symbol during your Mission Phase, you can remove a coin off of any Permanent Mission as well as placing a -1/-1 coin on any Ninja as long as you have another Fire Ninja in your Village.

On top of that, if you also have another Lightning Ninja in your Village you can negate that Mission’s effect for the turn. Definite sideboard material if and when Permanent Mission Decks become all the rage.

Series 25 Preview “Chainya (N-1437)”

Welcome to another preview from the upcoming Series 25 “Kage Summit”.

Next up is another feline by the name of “Chainya (N-1437)”. This cat lineage can be traced back to “Giant Tiger (N-696)” which use to be the king of “Animal” Decks, and while this Ninja is an “Animal” it goes best in a -1/-1 coin Deck.

For a Turn 0 Ninja it has a very respectable 3 Combat, but this Ninja can grow substantially larger since it gets +1 Combat for each coin on all your opponent’s Ninjas. This includes but is not limited to Growth, Clay, Mind, Ghost, Charge, Mirror, Drain, and Flash coins. However, we’ll be looking at the coins that you can control, and that would be Fire’s -1/-1 coin theme.

So how much bit can this cat have? One of the earliest and easiest ways is with Series 24’s “Tobi (N-1377)” to plant a -1/-1 coin and with “Karin (N-1245)” the fun doesn’t have to stop! You can also play Ninjas like “Sasuke Uchiha & Kakashi Hatake (PR-076)” and Series 25’s “The 3rd Hokage (N-1446)” to turn out tons of -1/-1 coins.

Jutsus and Missions can also quickly pump out -1/-1 coins and Turn “Chainya (N-1437)” into a ferocious powerhouse. “Subdue (J-891)” lands a quick injury and -1/-1 for the cheap cost of 1 Fire Chakra, while “Madara’s Eye (J-809)” can trick out two -1/-1 coins as well as potentially draw you 2 cards!

Finally we have Mission cards that can slowly inundate your opponent’s Ninjas with -1/-1 coins like “The Uchiha Clan (M-863)” and “Last Words (M-758)”. Try them out with this fantastic new Ninja from Series 25 and find your own combos.
