Rules Update: Reinforcements

Please see the rules under Reinforcement (found here). We have added the same caveat that exists for Squading, making the rule easier to follow, as the entire Reinforcement Deck must now follow the change.

From Series 25 onward, Reinforcements cannot use the exact same named Reinforcement card as part of their Sacrifice costs.

This change will be in effect with the release of the Series 25 Theme Decks on 05/11/12.

Happy playing!

Series 25 Preview “Yamato (N-1433)”

Welcome to another preview from the upcoming Series 25 “Kage Summit”.

We are counting down down to the final previews from Series 25, and some of the best cards still remain. Such as…the mentor to Team Kakashi – “Yamato (N-1433)”. This Earth and Water “Anbu” Ninja from the Leaf Village has the deoxyribonucleic acid of the 1st Hokage, and wields the rare “Tree” Combat Attribute as well as an intimidating Mental Power: 3.

His great Support of 4 makes him an ideal Back Ninja, but it’s his effect that makes him a perfect fit for a Permanent Mission Deck. When “Yamato (N-1433)” enters play you can search your Deck and put in play a Permanent Mission card with an Entrance cost equal to or less than the number of Permanent Missions you control. Having at least 1 Mission allows you to fetch out and play awesome Missions like “Decoding the Message (M-821)” and “Lunchbox (M-466)” without having to pay their Hand cost.

But the fun doesn’t stop there, “Yamato (N-1433)” also has an additional replacement effect that triggers each time one of your Earth Permanent Missions would be removed from play, instead of hitting the Chakra area they shuffle back into your Deck, recycling them for future shenanigans, but that’s not all you also draw a card. Like a boss!

Series 25 Preview “Mist Anbu (N-1461)”

Welcome to another preview from the upcoming Series 25 “Kage Summit”.

Our final Water preview today is the stealthy “Mist Anbu (N-1461)”. Unlike his infamous brethren “Anbu (N-1110)”, “Mist Anbu (N-1461)” is fairer, he still has having Non-Unique which allows you bypass uniqueness, and 3 Combat making him another excellent Head Ninja.

However, the Anbu lineage does not fall far from the tree, and you can still rush him into play ignoring the deployment rule; but in order to do so you must move 3 cards from your opponent’s Discard Pile to their Chakra area makes this Anbu an excellent fit in Water’s latest theme!

Series 25 Preview “Massacre (M-904)”

Welcome to another preview from the upcoming Series 25 “Kage Summit”.

Our second Mission today is the violent “Massacre (M-904)” Mission card. This Turn 3 Permanent Mission gives you an effect similar to “Sharpening the Blade (M-543)”, and should strike fear in your opponents since Damage during the Showdown will discard their Ninja regardless if that Ninja was healthy or injured!

This Mission also has a secondary effect just in case you feel your opponent can get rid of it or if you’re feeling a bit agro. By ditching it to your Chakra area, you drain any Ninja’s power for -2/-2 that turn. Just remember no blood, no foul.

Series 25 Preview “Suiu (N-1462)”

Welcome to another preview from the upcoming Series 25 “Kage Summit”.

Next up is a Turn 0 “Genin” Ninja from the Rain Village – “Suiu (N-1462)”. This early drop Ninja makes a fine choice as a Head Ninja with his 3 Combat. But this Ninja is much more than just stats, he also has an effect that can charge up the “Giver.dec” which specializes in feeding their opponent’s Chakra for positive effects.

“Suiu (N-1462)” is no exception, able to move 1 card from the top of your opponent’s Deck to their Chakra area (a pseudo-mill effect). If they have 3 or more Chakra (i.e. played at least 1 Mission) Suiu becomes a 5 Combat powerhouse to beat down the opponent!
